Caryn Ginsberg, The Raw Designer

caryn_in_skyYour business is about meaning and not just money. That makes it extra-painful to think you might be getting anything less than the very best results. Do you wonder whether your communications could be doing more to create impact with clients?

Fortune 500 companies, leading non-profits and Internet start-ups have turned to Caryn Ginsberg to get better results. She’s known for probing questions, quick insight and great ideas that enable her clients to make better decisions. She also has an unusual combination of analytical and creative skills. That lets her craft strategy and then create design and copy that bring it to life.

For the last nine years, Caryn has focused on animal protection issues. She’s worked with the ASPCA, The Humane Society of the United States, Farm Sanctuary and Humane Farm Animal Care, among others on how to create change in people’s behavior.

A sought-after conference speaker, Caryn shows animal advocates how to use marketing to influence people more effectively. She has taught in the MBA program for Johns Hopkins University and served on the board of the Institute for Humane Education.

Caryn has felt the pain of communications that miss the mark. Not in her business, but for some vegetarian and vegan advocacy organizations. Because she loves farm animals, she’s disappointed to see many Web sites, brochures and other materials that she knows will fall flat with the people they’re intended to reach. That concern, along with renewed clarity from her raw foods journey, inspired her to add graphic design to her marketing strategy and copyediting services.

A member of Raw Professionals Online as well as Raw Magic & Mastery, the Body Enlightenment System, Raw Food Talk and Give It to Me Raw, Caryn believes raw food offers a profound opportunity for individuals and for the world. She enjoys working with like-minded professionals who are inviting others to experience a more positive way of living with their coaching, uncooking, natural health services or whatever unique way they’re serving the greater good. Her personal raw foods journey has been two steps forward one back, but continues to move in the right direction.

At Dartmouth, she created spirit cards that the athletic department handed out to all fans at football games. She contributed cartoons and illustrations to the campus newspaper. She also played varsity ice hockey.

Caryn lives outside Washington, DC with her husband Michael Levitin. Originally from Massachusetts, she is a four-time marathoner, an enthusiastic but lousy singer of folk songs, and waitress to the overfed backyard birds and squirrels.
