Get Even More Beautiful Results (part 2)

Part 1 of this blog article showed you how to create an Inspired Design Collage to explore how to express your unique style visually. Now let’s make sure that what’s special to you will also be valuable for your business.

As a solopreneur or small business, your business is inseparable from who you are. Part of what you’re trying to get across in your marketing communications is your personality and values. But you’ve got to do that in a way that resonates with clients and builds your business.

Making It Work with Your Target Audience
Keep in mind the following questions when moving forward with your collage results:
  • Will the tone, colors, images and other visuals I love also appeal to my potential clients?
  • How well might this visual approach convey the distinctive benefits I bring people through my business?
  • Can my choices be implemented effectively? (If it’s hard for people to read your web site, they won’t stick around to really get your unique style and you won’t get the business)
Whether you’re doing your own design or working with a professional this collage can help you get clear on how to convey your unique style visually. Link the results to your marketing strategy and you’re on your way to building compelling communications.

A Collage of Ideas for Beautiful Results

I chuckled when I saw this collage, “Make it Look Like an Accident” by David Barr, at the Artomatic festival in Washington, D.C. last month. While he didn’t necessarily mean “Kill Kellogg” as an indictment of that manufacturer or cooked food generally, I’m sure that those of us on or pursuing a raw foods diet can relate in some way. Have you ever felt as distressed as the woman in the collage looks when trying to resist the lure of some addictive processed treat? I certainly have.
